PRIORITIES

Fairness, access, and efficiency should guide how our local courts serve the community. As Justice of the Peace, I will focus on modernizing court access and making sure no one loses their case simply because the system was too difficult to navigate.

Reduce Default Judgments
Too many cases are decided when people never have a real chance to appear or respond. I will work to improve notice systems, expand outreach, and create processes that help ensure people understand when and how they must appear in court.

Expand Mediation Options
Many disputes can be resolved without the cost, stress, and delay of a full court hearing. I will prioritize mediation programs that help neighbors resolve conflicts fairly while keeping court dockets moving efficiently.

Increase Multilingual Court Materials
Court access should not depend on what language you speak. I will advocate for multilingual forms, notices, and informational materials so more families can understand their rights and responsibilities.

Expand Virtual Court and Night Court Options
Work schedules and transportation barriers should not keep people from participating in their cases. Expanding virtual hearings and evening court options will help ensure working families can still access justice.
