1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of michelleforjustice.com (the "Site") and your participation in communications from Michelle Butler for Justice, including our text messaging program.

 

By using the Site, submitting information through any form on the Site, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or opt in to our communications.

 

 

2. Who We Are

Michelle Butler for Justice ("the Campaign," "we," "us," or "our") is the candidate campaign committee supporting Michelle Butler, Democratic nominee for Denton County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 6, in the November 3, 2026 general election in Denton County, Texas. We are a political campaign committee registered with the Denton County Elections Campaign Finance Department..

3. Mobile Messaging Terms

Michelle Butler for Justice operates a mobile messaging program. By providing your mobile phone number to Michelle Butler for Justice and affirmatively consenting on one of our forms, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Michelle Butler for Justice at the number you provided, including messages sent using automated technology.

 

Types of messages you can expect to receive: campaign updates, volunteer and canvassing opportunities, event invitations and reminders, voting and election information, and requests for financial contributions to the Campaign.

 

Message frequency varies.

 

Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier associated with sending or receiving text messages.

 

Consent is not a condition of purchase, of making a contribution, or of participating in the Campaign in any way.

 

How to opt out. You may cancel the messaging program at any time by texting STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also reply END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPT OUT, or REVOKE. After you send one of these messages, we will send you a reply confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive messages from us unless you opt in again. If you want to rejoin, sign up again on our Site and we will resume sending messages to you.

 

How to get help. Text HELP to any message you receive from us and we will reply with instructions on how to use our service and how to unsubscribe. You may also email us at info@michelleforjustice.com or write to Michelle Butler for Justice, 4400 State Hwy 121 #300, Lewisville, TX 75056.

 

Carriers. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.

 

Changing or deactivating your number. You agree to notify us if you change or deactivate the mobile number you provided. You agree that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number and that you have authority to consent to receive messages at it.

 

Privacy. Information you provide in connection with our messaging program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in information and phone numbers collected for the purpose of SMS communication are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

 

 

4. Email Communications

By providing your email address, you agree to receive email from the Campaign, including campaign updates, event invitations, volunteer opportunities, voting information, and requests for contributions. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any Campaign email, or by emailing info@michelleforjustice.com.

 

 

5. Contributions

Contributions to Michelle Butler for Justice are processed by a third-party payment processor and are subject to that processor's own terms.

 

Contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

 

By making a contribution, you certify that:

 

  • You are a United States citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident;

  • The contribution is made from your own funds and not from the funds of another person or entity, and you are not being reimbursed by anyone for the contribution;

  • The contribution is made using a personal credit or debit card, or a personal account, for which you have legal obligation to pay, and not a corporate or business account;

  • You are not a federal contractor or a foreign national; and

  • You are legally eligible to make this contribution under Texas and federal law.

 

Texas law restricts contributions from certain sources, including corporations and labor organizations. Texas law also requires the Campaign to publicly report information about contributors — which may include name, address, occupation, employer, and amount — to the Texas Ethics Commission. Those reports are public records.

 

Refunds. If you believe a contribution was made in error, contact us at info@michelleforjustice.com and we will work with you to resolve it, subject to applicable law and to the Campaign's reporting obligations.

 

 

6. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

 

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems;

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site or the networks connected to it;

  • Use any automated system to scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Site;

  • Impersonate the Campaign, any Campaign staff member, or any other person; or

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site.

 

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or our communications at any time, for any reason, without notice.

 

 

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its contents — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, video, and design — are the property of Michelle Butler for Justice or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

 

You may share and repost our publicly posted campaign content for the purpose of supporting the Campaign. You may not use the Campaign's name, logo, or materials to imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation without our written permission, and you may not use them for commercial purposes.

 

 

8. Information You Submit

If you send us content — including messages, photographs, testimonials, survey responses, or social media posts directed to the Campaign — you grant the Campaign a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content in Campaign communications and materials. You represent that you own or have the right to share what you submit.

 

Please do not send us confidential or sensitive personal information through the Site or by text message.

 

 

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site links to third-party websites and services, including our contribution processor and our social media pages. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

 

 

10. No Legal Advice

Michelle Butler is a candidate for judicial office. Nothing on this Site, and nothing in any communication you receive from the Campaign, is legal advice, and no attorney-client or judge-litigant relationship is created by using the Site or contacting the Campaign. Content about the Justice of the Peace courts is provided for general informational purposes only. If you need legal advice about a specific matter, consult a licensed attorney. Do not send the Campaign information about a pending or anticipated court case.

 

 

11. Disclaimers

The Site and our communications are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

 

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information on the Site is complete, accurate, or current. Election dates, polling locations, hours, and voter registration deadlines are subject to change. Always confirm voting information with the Denton County Elections Administration or the Texas Secretary of State before relying on it.

 

 

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Michelle Butler for Justice and its staff, volunteers, and vendors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site or our communications, including any charges from your mobile carrier, delayed or undelivered messages, or reliance on information published on the Site.

 

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

 

 

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site, or continued participation in our messaging program, after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
